Comments: An abstract painter and printmaker, he was wounded and partially paralyzed during WWI. In 1938, he created WPA murals for WNYC radio station, with Stuart Davis, Byron Browne, and Louis Schanker. In 1954, he was awarded a residency at the MacDowell Colony (NH).
