1933 Born in Berlin (Germany), the 29th of June, 1933.
1950 1950 Graduation at the Goethe Gymnasium, then masters school of arts and crafts.
1951/52 Academy of fine Arts.
1952/53 University of Göttingen (history of art, archeology and philosophy).
1954 First exhibition in the hall of the theater Göttingen.
1953/56 Stay in Rome. Aprenticeship in the studio of Corrado Cagli. Meets Guttuso. Involved in the intellectual life of Rome at that time. The two painters, who mostly impressed his work, he devotes the following two works to: „In Memoriam Gott mit uns“ and „Hommage an Corrado Cagli“. While he works in Rome he is influenced by abstract and realistic painting style until 1962. Since that time he definitely paints in figurative style.
1956 Exhibition in the Gallery Schneider in Rome.
1957 Return to Berlin and turn to figurative art.
1965 Berlin – Order for trial paintings for the reconstruction of the ceiling painted by Antoine Pesne in the Schloss Charlottenburg, which was destroyed in the war.
1968 Is one of the founding members of the artists association “Red Carnation” (Rote Nelke) in West-Berlin, which he forms part of until 1973. Assistent of Guttuso at the academy of fine Arts, Hamburg.
1972/75 President of the “Permantent committee for culture days” (Ständiges Komitee Kulturtage) in Berlin-West.
1978/86 Guest-professorship at the academy of fine Arts, Berlin for figurative drawing.
1983 Participation in the FIAC, Paris.
1984 Potsdam – Kulturhaus Marchwitza, Retrospective.
1988 Berlin – Kunstamt Wilmersdorf, Kommunale Galerie, Retrospective.
1998 Berlin – Kunstamt Wilmersdorf, Kommunale Galerie, Retrospective.
2003 Trevi (Perugia – Italy), Complesso Museale di San Francesco, Retrospektive.
2008 Berlin, Kulturamt Steglitz-Zehlendorf – Galerie, anthological exhibition
